Seoul, Korea (February 26, 2009) - LG Display Co., Ltd. [NYSE: LPL, KRX: 034220], a leading innovator of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, announced today that it has begun mass production of the 27-inch full HDTV/Monitor LCD panel with enhanced MPRT(Motion Picture Response Time) in February, 2009.

Leveraging an impressive MPRT(Motion Picture Response Time) of 8ms, which is nearly twice as fast as conventional LCD monitors currently available in the market and is almost even comparing with that of 120Hz LCD TV panel, the new product is able to generate crisp moving images with much less blurring.

Featuring a 16:9 widescreen format and 2.07 megapixel resolution (1920 X 1080), it boasts enhanced MPRT and color reproduction compared to conventional LCD monitor panels. The full HDTV/Monitor LCD panel enables users to enjoy crisp viewing of high-speed images not only on TVs, but also on personal computers.

According to market research firm DisplaySearch, LG Display ranked first in the worldwide monitor LCD market in the fourth quarter of 2008 with a market share of 22.4%.
