Social Contribution Activities

LG Display strives to achieve mutual growth with local communities through customized social contribution activities that meet their needs. We are doing our best to become a global company that fulfills its social responsibilities by expanding our scope to include not only domestic but also global workplace sites.

Strengthening Capabilities of Future Generations

  • Protecting Children's Eyes: 'Eye Care Project'
Protecting Children's Eyes: "Eye Care Project" LG Display is holding educational performances using musicals for elementary school students in Paju and Gumi to help children around the age of 8, when their eyesight is fully developed, and their parents recognize the importance of eye health management. In 2025, we held 38 performances, with over 4,300 participants. Additionally, through our mobile eye screening program for preschool children, over 3,100 children participated in screenings at 32 locations in 2025, enabling the early detection of eye conditions such as strabismus, amblyopia, and cataracts.
  • Supporting the Dreams of Talented Youth: 'Wings of Hope Club'
Supporting the Dreams of Talented Youth: "Wings of Hope Club" Since 2011, LG Display has been supporting the dreams of gifted youth in the arts and sciences who are facing financial difficulties through a scholarship program called Wings of Hope Club, which is sponsored by company executives and managers. In 2025, we supported the dreams of 11 youth in collaboration with World Vision. Through this scholarship program, a total of 91 young people have enrolled in high schools and universities in various fields since 2011 and have achieved outstanding results in various domestic and international competitions.

Mutual Growth with Local Communities

  • Building a Safe Local Community: Establishing the 'Local Safety-Net'
Building a Safe Local Community: Establishing the "Local Safety-Net" LG Display worked with police stations in Paju and Gumi to distribute reflective cards to approximately 8,800 elementary school students and installed safety fences, crosswalk floodlights, solar floor lights, and logo projectors in child safety zones to create a safe environment. Additionally, we are contributing to the creation of a safety-friendly city by providing fire extinguishers, installing fire detectors, and offering fire prevention education to rural villages in areas far from fire stations.
  • Fostering Climate Environment Leaders: Green Campaigner
Fostering Climate Environment Leaders: "Green Campaigner" LG Display is conducting climate and environmental education in collaboration with the Paju and Gumi Regional Offices of Education. The program helps elementary school students in the region understand the phenomena, causes, and issues related to climate risk, plan practical campaigns in their daily lives, and protect their rights and the environment. In 2025, approximately 1,800 elementary school students completed a four-hour educational program. Additionally, through a support program for high school environmental clubs in the region, we provided high school students interested in the environment with various educational and experiential activities.

Voluntary Participation of Employees

  • Frequent Meetings Project: Planned and Executed Directly by Employees
"Frequent Meetings Project": Planned and Executed Directly by Employees The "Frequent Meetings Project," which means creating my own social contribution on my own initiative, is a small volunteer group in which employees form teams based on their individual hobbies, talents, and areas of interest, plan and operate the project themselves, and support solutions based on local community issues. In 2025, a total of 32 teams across the fields of education and culture, care and safety, animals, and the environment conducted approximately 300 activities.
  • Expanding Employee Donation Experience through the LG Dream Fund
Expanding Employee Donation Experience through the "LG Dream Fund" LG Display encourages voluntary donations from its employees through an online donation platform and electronic donation boxes installed at its business sites. In 2025, a cumulative total of approximately 20,000 employees donated around 190 million won to share their warmth with underprivileged children and neighbors in the local community.
  • Ecological Environment Protection Activities: LGD Little Explorers
Ecological Environment Protection Activities: "LGD Little Explorers" LG Display conducts ecological education and ecosystem protection volunteer activities through weekend family participation programs that bring people closer to nature. In 2025, children from 380 employee households participated in the program and experienced the ecological environment of the Paju and Gumi areas firsthand through explanations from environmental experts. This provided them with an opportunity to learn about biodiversity and environmental protection.
