Risk Management
Committee
LG Display has operated a Risk Management Committee that oversees and manages the company-wide risk response system. The committee consists of six function-specific subgroups and a corporate unit that provides integrated support from the perspectives of legal compliance and stakeholder communication. The Risk Management Committee sets risk management policies and systems, and checks whether each subgroup is implementing them properly. When an incident occurs, the committee assesses the situation to decide whether to activate the emergency response committee. If needed, an Emergency Response Team is formed, led by relevant executives, to oversee company-wide coordination and manage the situation.

Policy
LG Display continuously enhance our risk management framework based on the principle of ‘overcoming risk quickly through swift and systematic responses, securing stakeholder trust, and restoring early-stage business operations’. In line with this principle, employees faithfully fulfill their roles and responsibilities in risk management, strictly adhering to the following policies.
- 1 In all cases, safety and life are the top priority.
- 2 We respond promptly according to clear standards and procedures and share information transparently.
- 3 Relevant organizations, including the accident management subcommittee, shall respond actively to minimize damage and quickly resolve the situation in the event of an accident.
- 4 We carry out preventive activities for the types of accidents under management and strengthen risk response capabilities through regular education and training.
- 5 We continuously maintain and manage the risk management system in response to internal and external environmental changes to ensure its effectiveness.
Risk Response System
LG Display has identified 16 types of accidents that require corporate-level prioritization and have established a tiered response system categorized into risk levels from A to D. Based on this system, we promptly recognize incidents through simultaneous communication and reporting and carry out initial response and containment measures in accordance with the principle of prioritizing human safety and the established response manual. At the same time, we convene a division-level or company-wide emergency response committee based on the assessed risk level, investigate the root cause, and assess potential crises by evaluating the damage and impact. Based on these findings, we develop and implement action plans for risk response and recurrence prevention. We then review and monitor the progress of these tasks, carrying out change management until operations return to normal.
