System and Strategy

LG Display has believes ‘employee growth is the driving force behind organizational advancement’. Based on this recognition, we design and support career roadmaps aligned with each individual’s development path across roles and departments. To strengthen professional capabilities, we operate structured development systems for each expertise area. We also offer customized programs to systematically foster key leaders and business professionals. We provide training and mentoring programs to help new employees adapt to their roles and the organization. We also offer shared competency programs to support the advancement of work methods, such as the use of AI and communication.

Talent Development Programs

LG Display provides systematic talent nurturing programs to help achieve ‘The Best Display Solution Company.’ These include leadership programs for nurturing entrepreneurs and leaders, basic training to strengthen role-specific and shared competencies, professional training to build expertise in each job area, and global competency programs. Through these programs, we support both business performance and employee growth.

Practicing Diversity and Inclusion Through Nanum Nuri

LG Display is continuously increasing the number of jobs for employees with disabilities through its subsidiary Nanum Nuri. Going forward, Nanum Nuri plans to continue discovering new jobs that can be performed by people with disabilities, such as franchise businesses (convenience stores), so that they can communicate with customers and colleagues in the workplace and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Status of Employees with Disabilities

As of 2024, 50.4% of Nanum Nuri's 603 employees are persons with disabilities, totaling 304 people, which is a 3.6 times increase from the 85 employees with disabilities when Nanum Nuri was first established. 84% of employees with disabilities are severely disabled, and those with intellectual, physical, visual, and hearing disabilities perform tasks such as barista, health keeper, environmental beautification, and coffee machine management.

Work Environment and Achievements

Nanum Nuri has been recognized for its efforts to promote employment for people with disabilities, receiving the Prime Minister's Award and the Seoktap Industrial Medal, and being selected as an outstanding employer of people with disabilities and an outstanding workplace for health promotion activities. As a result, it has established itself as a representative standard workplace for people with disabilities. For individuals with disabilities who may take longer to acquire job skills, the company provides individual mentoring support and operates various systems to facilitate smooth workplace adaptation for employees with disabilities. Additionally, it reinvests a portion of its profits to improve the working environment for employees with disabilities. Furthermore, the company actively introduces specialized cleaning equipment for employees with disabilities in the environmental sanitation sector and prioritizes workplace safety measures. Furthermore, after obtaining the KOSHA18001 (Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency) certification, the company has obtained the revised KOSHA-MS (Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency Management System) certification and continues to undergo regular renewal, audits, and evaluations to meet the standards for occupational safety and health management certification.

Welfare System

Nanum Nuri has established a platform for mutual communication and interaction through cultural experience programs for employees with disabilities in 2024, and has improved its hobby program operations to enable more employees with disabilities to participate. In addition, it has shifted its disability awareness training from theory-based education to musicals and classical performances in which people with disabilities participate directly, thereby enhancing the educational effect. Furthermore, the company has implemented medical expense support and leave pay systems as part of its welfare benefits, and has expanded convenience facilities such as massage chairs and air purifiers in the break room to provide a more comfortable and relaxing environment. Additionally, the company has implemented a funeral goods support system for employees during times of bereavement to foster a sense of loyalty, and has increased the amount of holiday gifts based on employee feedback to enhance satisfaction. Furthermore, we have established a new award system to commemorate Disability Day, and starting in 2025, we will introduce an award system for long-serving employees, among other efforts to continuously expand our welfare programs.
