LG.Philips LCD demonstrates latest TFT-LCDs at SID 2004

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, May 19, 2004 LG.Philips LCD Co., Ltd., one of the world's leading manufacturers of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, will showcase its latest TFT-LCD panels for desktop monitors, notebook PCs, LCD TVs, portrait displays, rear-seat automotive entertainment and mobile phone applications during SID 2004 to be held May 23-28, 2004 in Seattle, Wash.

A sampling of LG.Philips LCD product demonstrations includes:
?55-inch Wide LCD prototype for HDTVs
?42-inch Wide XGA+ LCD for HDTVs
?42-inch Wide XGA+ LCD Portrait for Information and Multimedia Displays
?37-inch Wide XGA+ LCD for HDTVs
?32-inch Wide XGA LCD for HDTVs
?30-inch Wide XGA LCD for Desktop Monitors and Multimedia Displays
?30-inch Wide XGA LCD Portrait for Information and Multimedia Displays
?20-inch Wide SXGA+ LCD for Desktop Monitors and Multimedia Displays

In addition to the aforementioned displays, LG.Philips LCD will also be featuring several LCD prototypes from its Anyang, Korea-based Research Center.

LG.Philips LCD?s Executive Vice President of Marketing, Bruce Berkoff, will deliver the keynote address, ?Flat, Digital and Resolution That Will Knock Your Socks Off?The Future of Displays,?at the SID Business Conference on May 24 (8:15 a.m. in Ballroom E). On May 26, S.D. Yeo, LG.Philips LCD?s vice president for its development center and TV development, will present ?An LCD for TV Applications?(9:00 a.m. in Ballroom E), and Y.M. Ha, LG.Philips LCD?s senior manager for its P-Si development center, will speak on P-type, low-power, low-temperature TFT-LCDs (4:00 p.m. in Ballroom E).
