LG.Philips LCD showcases its broad portfolio of TFT-LCDs at CES 2004

SEOUL, South Korea, January 5, 2004-LG.Philips LCD Co., Ltd, one of the world's leading innovators of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, will showcase its full line-up of TFT-LCD products for LCD TVs, desktop monitors, notebook PCs, rear-seat automotive entertainment as well as other applications during CES 2004 in Las Vegas.

Making its U.S. debut at CES, LG.Philips LCD will unveil its 26- and 37-inch wide TFT-LCDs for HDTV applications-The LC260W01 and the LC370W01-both of which feature the company's award winning Super-In-Plane Switching (S-IPS) technology, for the widest viewing angle and best color fidelity. In addition, the company will show a 55-inch LCD prototype, one of the largest TFT-LCDs in the world.

"LG.Philips LCD has been the number one supplier of large TFT-LCDs for four quarters in a row, and we now expect the company to remain number one for a fifth consecutive quarter (Q4 `03) on a unit basis." noted Paul Semenza, EVP of iSuppli/Stanford Resources*.

In addition to the 26W, 37W and 55W, LG.Philips LCD will be demonstrating the following LCDs at CES 2004:
- 42-inch Wide XGA+ LCD for HDTVs
- 30-inch Wide XGA LCD for HDTVs
- 23-inch Wide XGA LCD for HDTVs
- 42-inch Portrait LCD for High Resolution Information Displays
- 30-inch Portrait LCD for High Resolution Information Displays
- 23-inch Wide UXGA LCD for Desktop Monitors and Multimedia Displays
- 20-inch Wide SXGA+ LCD for Desktop Monitors and Multimedia Displays
- 17-inch Wide XGA+ LCD for Desktop Monitors and Multimedia Displays
- 17-inch Wide SXGA+ LCD for Notebook PCs
- 15.4-inch Wide SXGA+ LCD for Notebook PCs
- 8-inch Wide VGA LCD for Rear-seat Automotive Entertainment
- 7-inch Wide QVGA LCD for Rear-seat Automotive Entertainment
- 6.5-inch Wide QVGA LCD for Rear-seat Automotive Entertainment


Bruce Berkoff, LG.Philips LCD's executive vice president of marketing, will participate on "The Big Picture of TV Tech" panel during the show, to be held on January 8 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in meeting room N264, located within the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
