The first General Meeting of LCD Friends Club was held

LG.Philips LCD held the first general meeting of LCD Friends Club, which is designed to keep a cooperative relationship, exchange information, and promote the co-development of technologies with major partners.
CEO, Koo Bon-Joon, CPO Park Ki-Seon, 23 cooperators and the executives and staffs were participated in the meeting held at Bisan Welfare Hall on Jan 7, 2000.
The Club consists of Overseas Facility Dept., Domestic Facility Dept., and Clean Room Dept.
The main tasks of the club are 1)To share information among the member companies, 2)To improve product quality and productivity, 3)To operate development council for product localization, 4)To do activities for cost saving, and 5)To carry out researches and recommend for bottlenecks.
In the congratulatory address of the meeting, CEO Koo Bon-Joon accentuated the leadership of technology, timely investment, and cost competitiveness to achieve “World No. 1 LCD Company”, and asked partner companies for active supports, saying it would be impossible without the
