LG.Philips LCD selected as an “excellent company” for labor-management cooperation

The company was selected as an excellent for labor-management cooperation. It signifies that the company is in a good cooperation between the labor and the management, and is acknowledged by the government for its exemplary business management.
The Ministry of Labor selects such companies every Dec. in the Screening Committee composed of the members of the labor-management common wealth committee.
Because our company was selected this time, it can have a special treatment for credit screening from various financial institutions as well as loan and other financial favors. Furthermore, the company is exempted from tax investigations by the government over a year.
LG.Philips LCD registered company as the candidate to the Ministry of Labor on Oct. 8, 1999 and the Ministry notified us on Dec 20, 1999 that our company was selected. Besides the appointment, the government issued us a certificate, which would be used in submitting the documents to register as a candidate to receive favored assistance, and awarded a cooper board to be hung on the entrance of the company.
On Jan 7, 2000, with Koo Bon-joon, President & Chief Executive Officer, Ron H. Wirahadiraksa CFO, and Byun Jae-Whan, Chairman of Labor Union participated, Hanging-Board ceremony was held in the main entrance of LCD 2 factory.
