Workplace Safety
LG Display places the highest priority on the safety and health of all stakeholders, including employees and suppliers, and recognizes that providing a safe working environment is essential to our sustainable operations. To create workplaces that ensure Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), we have established an occupational health and safety management system and operate action plans that reflect resource allocation and risk assessment-based priorities for implementation. In addition, we continuously improve our occupational health and safety performance by setting and monitoring quantitative targets. Management reports safety and health policies, performance, and other related matters to the Board of Directors on an annual basis, while the Board regularly reviews and oversees the implementation status and key outcomes of related plans.
(*The plan related to occupational safety and health was approved by the Board of Directors on March 20, 2025.)
Health and Safety Policy
LG Display’s health and safety vision is to “build a globally leading workplace through the establishment of a safety culture in which all employees voluntarily participate.” To realize this vision, we continuously enhance the effectiveness of our occupational health and safety management system based on the following health and safety policies.
* Strategic Action Plans and Priority Setting
LG Display has established its occupational health and safety management framework through the Four Major Safety Management Innovation Measures and developed action plans centered on the Five Key Safety Initiatives. These plans are implemented based on priorities determined according to the risk profile of each workplace.
* Quantitative Performance Management and Target Setting
To improve occupational health and safety performance, LG Display establishes and manages quantitative targets that include not only lagging indicators, such as the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR), but also leading indicators, including safety training completion rates, safety culture index scores, and near-miss reporting rates.
* Risk Assessment and Continuous Improvement
LG Display proactively monitors and responds to occupational health and safety regulations. In addition, we conduct regular assessments of potential risks, review compliance with regulatory requirements, and implement corrective actions to address identified gaps. Through these efforts, we manage occupational health and safety risks across our operations and continuously improve our management system.

Health and Safety Organizational System
LG Display is strengthening its safety and health management by establishing a safety and environment organization under the Chief Safety and Environment Officer (CSEO). The Chief Safety and Environment Officer establishes and reviews safety and environmental policies for domestic and overseas facilities, builds management systems, and serves as a control tower overseeing safety and health activities and systems across all facilities. They also have CEO-level authority, such as the power to issue a “production stoppage order” to halt production and work when accident risks are detected.
Under the CSEO's oversight, site-specific safety officers are appointed to ensure systematic safety and health management at each site, as well as to establish and operate safety management and emergency response systems for subcontractors. Regular meetings are held to share safety and health status and issues with all management supervisors. Additionally, preventive activities and outcome metrics are mandatory components of the KPIs for executives and management supervisors responsible for safety and health, and these are utilized for evaluation and compensation.
Health and Safety Management System
To foster a safe and healthy work environment, LG Display has established a Health and Safety Management System at its domestic and overseas sites based on its safety, health, environment, and energy management policies. Currently, a total of six sites worldwide have obtained ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certification, and we continue to conduct systematic follow-up management. In 2025, we completed annual follow-up audits at two domestic sites (Paju and Gumi) and the Guangzhou site in China, while three overseas sites (Nanjing, Yantai, and Haiphong) completed their triennial renewal audits. We operate our Health and Safety Management System based on the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) model and evaluate its implementation status through regular internal and external audits conducted annually. The audit results are reported to management, and the improvement tasks derived from them are incorporated into action plans, leading to continuous improvement activities. Our Health and Safety Management System is uniformly applied to all employees at each certified site. The same Health and Safety Management System that applied to certified sites is also enforced for personnel at suppliers and at sites not subject to certification.
Safety Rules and 8 Life Rules
LG Display has established and operates Safety Rules to prevent safety accidents involving employees of our company and our supplier companies at our workplace sites. In addition, we have established eight major safety rules for safety devices, confined spaces, working at heights, electricity, heavy objects, forklifts, fire, and chemical substances to take the lead in preventing serious accidents. We are making multifaceted efforts to establish a safe work culture.

Reduction of Fundamental Workplace Risks
LG Display's equipment safety certification system evaluates all new equipment introduced to ensure that it complies with domestic and international safety standards. The department in charge reflects safety specifications in all equipment within our company from the time of investment and reconfirms that safety specifications have been reflected through self-evaluation. Additionally, we conduct pre-work risk assessments for all operations conducted within our facilities to identify potential risk factors and evaluate risks. Risk assessments are conducted annually on a regular basis, and additional assessments are conducted as needed when new operations are implemented or accidents occur. Assessment results are quantified into 4 levels, and specific improvement plans are established and implemented based on priority to prevent accidents.

Emergency Framework
LG Display operates a comprehensive emergency management system that enables real-time monitoring of firefighting equipment, utilities, weather conditions, and gas and chemical substance data. The system is supported by specialized personnel trained to quickly disseminate information and respond promptly to emergencies. Each workplace also maintains a 24-hour joint emergency response system to ensure constant readiness. To further strengthen internal emergency response capabilities, we have implemented two-way communication channels and intelligent control systems between sites, established new emergency response bases, and actively manage critical response windows, or “golden time.” We are also committed to making every employee a disaster prevention agent by providing all staff with fire extinguisher and fire hydrant training, as well as initial emergency response training for those working in high-risk areas. In cases where accidents occur due to violations of internal safety management standards or procedures, we operate a recurrence prevention task force that thoroughly investigates the root cause and develops comprehensive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

LG Display establishes a safety management system to strengthen the safety management of suppliers, and supports safety training and capacity building activities. In addition, various communication channels are operated to facilitate two-way communication with suppliers.
Safety Management
System for Suppliers
In order to help suppliers improve their safety competencies, LG Display formed a win-win cooperative group with in-house suppliers and external suppliers that handle hazardous chemicals, and provides various programs for shared growth such as planning, implementation, and evaluation of safety and health activities. LG Display discovers harmful risk factors in the workplace through technical support for risk assessment, takes measures and improves them, and based on this, promotes win-win safety activities to prevent accidents with suppliers.
Safety Training and
Capacity Building for
Suppliers
LG Display strives to raise the bar of safety management by conducting basic course training and evaluation for safety officers of each supplier so that only personnel with proven professional competence play the role of safety officers in charge of work safety management. Also, through the Safety Academy, LG Display provides practical training such as wearing a safety harness, fire suppression, and CPR to strengthen the safety and health competencies of suppliers.
Communication with Suppliers
LG Display selects excellent suppliers in categories such as safety management and safety suggestions, and encourages and rewards them for their excellent activities. To facilitate two-way communication with suppliers, a safety council is convened once a month and a smart safety suggestion system is in operation at all times.
Corporate safety and health management is linked to the work efficiency of its own employees, overseas subsidiaries, and employees of partner companies. LG Display identifies and eliminates safety threats that may affect workers in advance, and strives to continuously spread a safety culture throughout the company.
Strengthening Safety Competencies
LG Display strengthens the risk management capabilities of its employees by conducting regular and frequent risk assessments to identify potential risks with the participation of employees. Furthermore, regular safety and health training, statutory mandatory training including safety training for managers and supervisors, 'Safety and Health Mindset' training for all employees, and specialized training courses for each position and job are organized on a regular basis to strengthen the competencies of employees. A smart system for safety suggestions is also in operation, which points out irrationality related to health and safety and collects ideas for improvement.
Safety Culture
Promotion Program
LG Display organizes various in-house programs to bring out changes in employees' sense of safety. As part of that effort, LG Display strives to establish its own safety culture in coopration with external professional agencies by identifying the direction for improvement through safety culture awareness diagnosis and consulting.
