Code of Conduct for Jeong-Do Management

In order to practice Jeong-Do Management, LG has established the Code of Ethics, which serves as a standard for desirable behaviors and judgments that all executives and employees must follow, and is sharing it with all employees and stakeholders. The LG Code of Ethics consists of a declarative code of ethics and practice guidelines that provide specific principles of conduct, along with related regulations and systems.

LG Jeong-Do Management Program

LG Display operates the Ethics Bureau to systematically practice Jeong-Do Management.
The Ethics Bureau implements various programs for education and promotion and prevention of corruption in order to help all stakeholders as well as employees actively practice Jeong-Do management.

  • Jeong-Do Management Training LG Display conducts Jeong-Do Management training every year in line with the positions and duties of all employees, including overseas subsidiaries.
    Employees can learn Jeong-Do Management tailored to the characteristics of each division and training according to their positions and responsibilities, such as new and experienced employees, managers, and supervisors, through online and offline courses.
  • Spreading the Jeong-Do Management Culture To increase participation in Jeong-Do Management, we are actively promoting it through various channels such as newsletters, blogs, and newsletters.
    We also share the value of Jeong-Do Management through local language newsletters with overseas subsidiaries, while striving to improve the ethical awareness of local employees.
  • Bribery Reporting System Employees cannot receive any type of reward, such as money, entertainment or convenience from stakeholders related to their job. If you did not immediately recognize the fact that you received it, or if it is unavoidably received, there is a voluntary reporting system in place that allows you to report it to the Ethics Bureau and take necessary measures.
  • Pledge to Practice Jeong-Do management Every year, all executives and employees reflect on the importance of Jeong-Do Management and write a pledge to abide by the Code of Ethics and practice Jeong-Do Management.
  • Web Portal for Jeong-Do Management We are operating the 'Jeong-Do Management Web Portal' to prevent violations of Jeong-Do Management and support employees in performing their duties properly.
    Through this web portal, it is easier and more convenient to check the principles and systems of Jeong-Do management including the Code of Ethics, receive counseling and report corruption.
  • Fraud And Corruption Reporting System In order to prevent violations of the Code of Ethics and eradicate corruption, various reporting systems such as cyber reporting and mail are in place.
    A system to protect whistleblowers is thoroughly implemented to prevent any possible harms or adverse consequenses that they might suffer due to reporting, and a reward system for reporting misconduct is also in place.

Reporting Fraud And Corruption

The types of violations subject to reporting include receiving rewards from stakeholders, unfair equity participation in business partners, lack of transparency in selecting suppliers, illegal or unfair use of company assets, manipulation of documents and coefficients, and dishonest reporting. However, slander that is not based on facts and matters related to personal privacy will not be processed. Reports go through preliminary procedures such as confirmation by the relevant department under the principle of protecting the identity of the whistleblower, so it takes a certain amount of time to respond to the start of the investigation.

Whistleblower Protection Principle

We do not disclose the identity of the whistleblower or disclose any information implying it without the consent of the whistleblower, and will take full responsibility for any disadvantages caused by non-compliance.
If someone reports any corruption or corruption related to him/herself, it will be dealt with reasonably in consideration of the extenuating circumstances.

Investigations are carried out sequentially according to the order in which the report is received, and the investigation period may vary depending on the subject and scope of the investigation.
The truth of the report is confirmed through securing objective evidence and investigation, and the case is closed after confirmation of measures such as disciplinary actions in accordance with internal regulations.
