LG Display practices its eco-friendly vision to create cleaner future.
LG Display's hazardous material management system ensures the use of hazardous material is blocked in advance in all steps from manufacturing to storage and transport of products. It enables LG Display to proactively cope with various customer requirements, improve LG Display's eco-friendly image, and continuously strengthen the eco-friendly competitiveness of products.
LG Display not only complies with international regulations such as RoHS and REACH but also voluntarily conducts the environmental impact assessment of its products and reduces the hazardous materials from the raw and intermediate materials based on "LG Display Hazardous Material Management Standard".
LG Display Eco Analysis Center was officially accredited as the international certifying agency for ISO/IEC 17025 standards in RoHS by KOLAS for the first time in KOLAS in 2005. IEC 62321 which is the RoHS international test standard and the test standard for HBCD, TBBPA, phthalate and halogen which are Class II and III hazardous materials were accredited in 2009. The center is fulfilling the environmental requirements of customers. Moreover, to proactively manage the hazardous material expected to be regulated in the future, it was accredited as the testing agency from TǛV SǛD, which is the standard agency in Germany, and issues the test report of hazardous materials such as PAHs.
LG Display is actively participating in international RoHS analysis standardization activities. It participated in revision of IEC62321, which is the international RoHS test standard, and officially submitted its Combustion IC method for halogen-free testing (standard name: IEC 62321-3-2) as the IEC standard (CD: Committee Draft) in June 2010. It is scheduled to be issued as the official standard in June 2013. LG Display is committed to fulfill its role as the eco-friendly company which leads the eco-friendly analysis technologies through the RoHS and halogen analysis related standardization activities.
