The larger 21:9 screen allows users to enjoy movies and games with life-like images compared to the 16:9 monitors. When multitasking, users can feel like using two individual monitors. The borderless structure differentiates the product’s design and, after the mass production of the 73cm screens, LG Display added 63cm and 86cm to the line-up to expand the 21:9 market.
LG Display’s 21:9 monitor display is optimized for multitasking with its wider screen compared to 16:9 screens. This ratio of 21:9 is the same as the existing monitor ratios of 2.35:1 and 2.39:1, so there are no black bars that used to appear on the top and bottom of 4:3 or 16:9 screen monitors. In other words, in the 21:9 screen monitor, an extra monitor space of 5:9 can be used to multitask and search game-related information, watch TV or check the TV listings for improved efficiency. In addition, viewers can enjoy a full screen optimized for cinemas without any black bars.

1:1World’s first 1:1 aspect ratio monitor
In addition to the 21:9 aspect ratio screen, LG Display developed world’s first 67.3cm monitor with 1:1 aspect ratio and opened a new era of the screens with various aspect ratios. Thanks to AH-IPS technology, the picture quality is uniform from any angle, and the
4-side even bezel(8mm) allows differentiated design.
LG Display’s 1:1 aspect ratio screen is the equivalent of a 54.6cm 16:9 monitor and a 52cm 21:9 screen connected vertically. It provides the most optimal multitasking environment to users, since different applications can run on the top and the bottom of the screen simultaneously so the users can enjoy the effect of working on a dual monitor.
